I do caricatures of people from time to time, and I do drawings and cartoons of cats. So why not combine the two? Are you a cat person, too?

I want to make sure that my readers know about the poison pet food out there. Lots of big brands with nice sounding names are killing animals, and nobody is doing much about it.
Recall of Pet Foods Manufactured by Menu Foods, Inc.

Wheat products apparently contained some kind of poison. The wheat came from China but we don’t know the actual point at which the poison got into the food.

Don’t feed this crap to your animals! Nobody knows how many have died, but probably the perps won’t be held accountable.

The bad food was manufactured by a company you never heard of called Menu Foods, but it was sold under many many brand names - from big ones like Iams, Science Diet and Eukanuba to store brands like Priortiy (Safeway) and Western family …and also some really sweet names like “Loving Meals” and “Special Kitty”… imagine killing your cat by feeding it “Special Kitty” … It makes me sick.

Avoid anything that is “with gravy” or some similar style - “cuts and gravy” “sliced beef with gravy” “chicken with gravy” and such. I guess they use wheat gluten to make the gravy, and that is where the poison is at.

You should also know that Menu Foods knew their food was killing animals for a long time before they finally admitted it and issued a recall. You should also know that SOME grocers still haven’t removed the poisoned food from the shelves.

Two questions: 1) Why are we buying wheat from China? Isn’t America supposed to be a food-PRODUCING nation? Well, I think I know the answer: It’s cheaper. And in America these days, anything that maximizes profits is supposed to be good.
2) What does this say about super-expensive brands like Science Diet, hmm? They cost three times as much but they are made by the same company (and with the same ingredients) as the cheap store brands? Shame on them. It’s more of the philosophy of maximizing profits regardless of quality.

And while we’re at it, how do we know that human food is safe? Probably a thousand animals have died. Who knows? Would anyone tell us if people were dying?

Look, we’ve had poison spinach, lettuce .. it seems like nothing is safe to eat anymore, and a lot of people have to die before someone gets around to mentioning, “Oh yeah, I guess we should take that off the market for a few days.”

Nobody cares anymore?

BTW, McFeral cat has gone missing again, but this time it has been for over a month. I’m sure she is not coming back now. I blame humans. Someone probably killed her. You can’t trust people. Ever.
