He’s a striped tabby cat, formerly a feral kitten who was rescued. Now he’s just a silly boy who loves his family…
This is Widget The Cat, a black gray and brown striped Tabby who loves to chase laser dots and eat cat cookies. He begs for the cookies (and the laser) by making a chattery sound. Caption suggestions?

I will be posting many of my cartoons from the series I now call
Jihad Joe. Originally, I called this hapless moron
“Johnny Jihad” but I also use my alternate Jihad Joe title instead.
My philosophy is, if you can’t laugh at brain-dead terrorist morons, who can you laugh at?
BANNED BY ZAZZLE!
After selling a few t-shirts, Zazzle suddenly decided that Johnny Jihad / Jihad Joe is offensive …based on …religion? I didn’t even know Al Qaida was its own religious group. Well, this just proves that the Zazzle people are halfwits, I guess. They’ve already pulled Suicide Gunman from the market. I still have some stuff there, but it is embarrassing to be associated with those people.
Don’t let the brain-dead morons win! Until they stop me AGAIN, I have posted this cartoon to my CafePress Gallery. …. Please get ‘em BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Banned from public view! Banished to the nether regions. The cartoon that newspaper editors don’t want you to see…
Back story: The owner of the Anchor Inn in Oceanside Oregon has managed to enrage many by announcing that he’s turning his business into a strip club. Seems like good cartoon subject matter to me!
So I doodled one of my cartoons and sent it off to the Headless Herald.. I mean the Headlight Herald newspaper (Tillamook County). They’re real sensitive about the name. But the editor rejected it with just a note that “it wouldn’t be suitable for our purposes.”
Meaning what? It’s not funny? Too controversial? Someone might think you are for the strip club? Isn’t having a bit of edge supposed to be a critical part of an editorial cartoon?
Look, it’s funny. Well, I think it is funny, anyway. It doesn’t mean I think they should have a strip club in a town that small. Also, it’s TRUE - we have a lot of seasonal jobs, right? These would be …”different.”
In ANY case, running my cartoon would be more likely to make readers laugh than to make them think that the Headless…er, I mean Headlight Herald was promoting nudity.
Eh, whatever. I’m sure the editor will hate me now but I’m really not dissing him. I just wish he could have a little more courage. Maybe someone could explain that to him.
I may go drop a few copies here and there just to stir things up.

This one was created for a T-shit. The original drawing was a pencil sketch of Dick Cheney. It’s not really menacing enough for this message, but then I’m going for humor so that makes a difference.
There are additional details on the T-shirt, based on my Text Messages From Hell series, so be sure to check the shirt, too!
