- These samples are a mix of hand drawn and computer work from among several dozen that I’ve done. I think the color images shown here were colored on the computer, but I do a lot of hand work with Tria markers as well - I have an adequate set of markers for illustrations work like this. Initial line work is sometimes done in pencil, followed up by outlines with a black Copic sketch brush marker. I keep all the shading in pencil unless I plan on doing a full color rendition.
My attraction to this style is basically about the big eyes, a hallmark of Japanese comics. I need to do more to get halfway good at it, but there are already a million good manga artists out there so who needs me? I’ll stick to the basic work. And I will put up some more work at some point.
