Attorney General Alberto Gonzales:

“How about, ‘No hablo ingles’? Does that work for you?”
Alberto had to appear before a Senate panel investigating the firing of some US attorneys. It wasn’t a very friendly audience. It was like a gang clubbing a baby seal. The Attorney General didn’t remember much, alas, which was sad. I prefer direct answers to questions. But that’s just me.

Don Imus can be a shrutebag sometimes and Al Sharpton is a shameless opportunist. In some ways, they belong together. I was going to call this CARICATURE sketch, “A High-Tech Lynching” borrowing a phrase from Clarence Thomas…

But I don’t know if that really fits. Al certainly used his media influence to take a stupid comment and blow it up into a national emergency. Lord knows, there’s nothing ELSE important going on in the world.
So now Imus is fired from his job, and there will be no more racism in America.
