I do caricatures of people from time to time, and I do drawings and cartoons of cats. So why not combine the two? Are you a cat person, too?

A charcoal portrait of the quick and dirty variety, like I might do at an event or fair or a party. Generally, I prefer graphite for this sort of thing, but I have to keep myself proficient in this medium, too.

I have given up painting. Well, not exactly. Instead, I’ve spent more time working on portraits and caricature sketches of people. It’s a good party and event skill, but sometimes I lose track of what I’m doing. I don’t want to forget how to do these things.
